“Good morning Kathleen
I am sorry, we don’t have any listing for either The Amateurs Digest or any listing for a business with either Marina or Roy Welham. There is nothing in the Legislation that says sole proprietors have to be registered in the Province of BC.
I am sorry, | have no further information for you.”
In other words, you can be a sole proprietor in BC without a business registration. However, you cannot get a bank account with a business name without a government business registration and a name reservation to prove that you own that business.
There is also no need to file separate business taxes, you can fold the income from your non-registered business into your personal taxes.
